This specially designed prenatal Pilates course is safe and gently for the expecting mother. A pregnant woman can be very prone to injury of the weight-bearing joints of the back, pelvis, and lower extremities. Using special techniques, Pilates will help stabilize areas by helping to strengthen, tone and maintain flexibility. This includes the muscles used for labor and delivery. After pregnancy, Pilates allows the body to, more quickly, get back into shape and re-strengthen areas affected by the labor and delivery experience.
